Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 large onions
  • 125 g flour
  • 230 ml beer
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Fried Onion Rings; egg-free, very crispy

Slice the onions into ½ cm thick rings. Mix the flour and beer into a smooth batter and season with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a saucepan to approximately 180 degrees Celsius. If necessary, add a small drop of batter. If the oil bubbles and the drop slowly turns golden yellow, the temperature is right. Dip the onion rings into the batter and fry in the hot oil until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper.
