Smoked salmon tartar

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g smoked Scottish salmon
  • 125 ml cream (double cream)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 100 g cream cheese (e.g. Philadelphia)
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • ½ bunch of dill
  • ½ bunch chives
  • 4 slices of toast
  • 1 lemon(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Hit with guests

Cut the salmon into thin strips. Set aside 1 tablespoon for garnish. Halve the salmon and puree half of it with double cream and lemon juice in a food processor. Carefully fold in the cream cheese. Finely chop the parsley and dill. Cut the chives into curls. Set aside 1 tablespoon for garnish. Fold the herbs and the other half of the salmon strips into the pureed mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Toast the slices of bread until golden brown and cut them in half diagonally. Spread the smoked salmon tartare while still lukewarm. Sprinkle the smoked salmon strips and chives on top as a garnish. Cut lemon wedges into wedges and serve garnished with these.
