Apricot and almond jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,000 g apricot(s), pitted and peeled
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2 to 1
  • 2 cl Amaretto
  • 50 g almonds, peeled and chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Apricot jam with a twist

Cut the pitted and peeled apricots into 6-8 pieces, drizzle with the Amaretto, and add the gelling sugar. Let stand for about an hour. In the meantime, lightly toast the chopped almonds in a non-stick pan. Bring the apricot-sugar mixture to a boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add the almond pieces, stir, and immediately pour into boiled jars, seal, and leave upside down for about an hour.
