Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 savoy cabbage
  • 4 potatoes
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • n. B. bacon cubes
  • some butter
  • 250 ml broth
  • Salt and pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Discard the outer savoy cabbage leaves, remove the stalks from the remaining leaves and cut them into strips. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes (approx. 2 x 2 cm). Peel the onion and dice finely. Heat butter in a saucepan and fry the onion and bacon cubes. Then add the savoy cabbage and diced potatoes and pour in the stock (not all of it at first; half is often enough to start with, then add the rest gradually). Simmer everything with the lid closed for approx. 20 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve with bratwurst or a hearty roast.
