Autumnal turnip stew with Cabanossi

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 onions, roughly diced
  • 1 m.-sized turnip(s), diced
  • 1 kg potatoes, diced
  • 5 thick carrots, diced
  • 2 Cabanossi, thinly sliced
  • 600 g sausage meat (bratwurst meat) formed into balls
  • 2 tbsp beef broth, granulated
  • 3 dashes of Maggi
  • 3 pinches of salt
  • 2 pinches of pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 jar white wine, dry
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Fry the roughly diced onions in butter and white wine until lightly translucent. Once the wine has evaporated, add the Cabanossi and fry briefly until the fat has dissolved. Then add the diced vegetables and just enough water to cover the vegetables. Finally, place the sausage meatballs on top and cover the pot. Simmer for approximately 15-20 minutes over medium heat. Season with beef broth, salt, pepper, and Maggi.
