Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 medium-sized onion(s), chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s), finely chopped
  • 1 large green bell pepper(s), diced
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 large beef tomato(s), diced
  • 1 can of corn
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tsp spice mix (chili spice preparation)
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Fry the ground beef in a pan in oil until crumbly. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Then add the beans and their juices. Peel the tomatoes (if you like), then add them to the pan with the bay leaves and chili seasoning. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. Drain the corn, stir in, and heat briefly. Season the Texas-style dish with salt. Serve with boiled potatoes.
