Oven-baked ragout with pork fillet, grilled sausages and meatballs

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1,500 g pork fillet(s)
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 500 g bratwurst (Nuremberg bratwurst)
  • 1 bread roll, soaked
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 8 large onions
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 4 cups of sweet cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp vegetable broth, instant
  • salt and pepper
  • Caraway seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 day 2 hours

Cut the fillet into finger-thick slices, fry, and season with salt and pepper. Mix the minced meat with the bread roll, egg, the finely chopped small onion, and seasoning. Form into small meatballs and fry. Fry the sausages. Slice the mushrooms and fry. Slice the large onions into half rings and fry. Place everything in a roasting pan. Mix the cream, sour cream, and broth and pour over the meat. Let stand overnight. Cook in the oven at 180°C for at least 1 hour, depending on the roasting pan size.
