Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg pork
  • 2 small cans of mushrooms, drained
  • 1 small can of peas, drained
  • 1 large jar of Hungarian-style paprika sauce
  • 4 onions, cut into strips
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • some margarine

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 25 minutes

hearty, ideal for guests

Melt some margarine in a roasting pan and remove from the heat. Chop the meat into small pieces, arrange it in the roasting pan, and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cover the meat with a generous layer of onions. Layer the mushrooms and peas on top. Finally, spread the paprika sauce on top. Do not stir! Cover everything and cook in the oven at approximately 180°C (top/bottom heat) or 150°C (convection oven) for 1.5 hours. Then remove the roasting pan, mix everything thoroughly, and return it to the oven uncovered for another 10 minutes. I serve it with rice, French fries, or a baguette.
