Green asparagus with sesame

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g asparagus, green
  • 1 red bell pepper(s), cut into strips
  • 1 garlic clove(s), finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
  • Salt
  • 1 small chili pepper(s), slit, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Blanch the asparagus in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Drain and pat dry with a clean cloth. Cut into slightly smaller pieces. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, fry the bell pepper strips and garlic (and chili pepper, if desired) for about 1 minute. Add the asparagus pieces and fry for about 2 minutes. Drizzle with the soy sauce and sesame oil, shaking the pan gently, do not stir. Sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds (remove the chili pepper) and serve hot. Serve with toasted bread and a spicy salsa or yogurt sauce.
