cabbage soup

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 small white cabbage
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • some caraway
  • 1 small chili pepper(s) or chili powder
  • some pepper
  • 2 tsp vegetable broth
  • 1 liter of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the white cabbage, carrots, onion, and garlic, chop into small pieces, and place in a medium-sized saucepan. Add the canned tomatoes (or the same amount of fresh tomatoes). Pour in the water. Add pepper, caraway seeds, and the finely chopped chili pepper. The amount of chili can be adjusted to taste. Add the vegetable stock. Then place the pot on the stove and simmer for about 15 minutes. This soup is very spicy, but this greatly aids digestion. You can adjust the spiciness or omit it altogether, although this will detract from the flavor.
