Crunchy nuggets/chicken nuggets

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 5 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 handfuls of cornflakes
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 500 ml vegetable oil

Remove any tendons, fat, etc. from the chicken breast. Cut into larger or smaller pieces as desired. Whisk the egg with the spices in a bowl. Put the flour in a deep plate. Blast the cornflakes into small pieces in a bag. These are then mixed with the breadcrumbs in a deep plate. Now comes the breading: It is best to arrange the ingredients in the following order: first the plate with the flour, then the egg, and then the breadcrumbs-cornflakes mixture. This makes breading easier. Coat the chicken pieces in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs. Then heat the oil in a pan. When the oil is very hot, add the nuggets and fry for about 5 minutes on a high (but not the highest) heat until golden brown. Then let them drain on a kitchen towel.
