Potato gratin with pears

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 m.-sized potatoes
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tbsp butter, liquid
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 bulb(s)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 100 g cheese (Sbrinz from Switzerland, alternatively Gouda)
  • 200 ml sweet cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the potatoes and slice them lengthwise into thin slices. Peel the pears, halve them, core them, and slice them lengthwise into strips. Rub four shallow, ovenproof ramekins with garlic, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle the bottoms with salt and pepper. Arrange the potato slices and the lemon-drizzled pear slices in the ramekins in a shingle pattern and sprinkle with grated cheese. Mix the cream with salt and pepper and pour over the top. Bake in a preheated oven (convection oven) at 175°C for 30 minutes.
