Pizza – Toast, low calorie

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 8 slice(s) toast bread, whole grain, (small)
  • 75 g cheese, grated, low-fat (15%)
  • 3 tbsp fresh basil
  • 4 large tomatoes, pitted and peeled (alternatively 1 can pureed)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • 1 small pepper, mild, chopped
  • 1 dashes lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • some oregano, dried or pizza seasoning
  • possibly sweetener

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

with tomato sauce – without ketchup or similar

Pre-toast the toast in a toaster and place on a baking sheet. Add the tomatoes, garlic, and chili pepper to a saucepan and simmer for about 10 minutes. Purée and season with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and oregano (add a dash of sweetener if desired). Spread the sauce on the toast and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh, chopped basil. Of course, you can top the toast with whatever you like. If you want to save calories, use vegetables, such as onions, zucchini, peppers, mushrooms, etc. A toast with a vegetable topping has a maximum of 80 kcal.
