- 4 cup(s) extra-fine oat flakes
- 2 cans kidney beans
- 1 can peas
- Vegetable broth, instant

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and season with vegetable stock powder to taste. Mix everything thoroughly with your hands, mashing the peas and kidney beans. This will form a gray, very firm mixture that can easily be shaped into burgers, patties, or meatballs. Heat oil in a pan and fry the burgers on both sides until they turn a golden brown. Veggie burgers aren’t suitable for grilling, as they’ll crumble due to the oat flakes. A few months ago, I discovered this recipe at a charity burger sale. It’s quick and easy to prepare and, despite its simplicity, tastes great.
