Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g beans (princess or broad beans), frozen
  • 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp savory
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • Water or vegetable broth

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Thaw the beans. Heat butter in a saucepan, add the finely diced onion, and fry. If desired, add a crushed garlic clove. Add the beans and stir well. Season with salt and pepper, and savory. Deglaze with a generous splash of water or stock. Cover and let the beans simmer for about 10 minutes on low heat. Finally, season with salt and pepper. We serve this side dish with chicken breast fillet and mashed potatoes, for example.
