Exotic cauliflower

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small cauliflower
  • 2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 pinch(s) fenugreek
  • 1 pinch(s) cumin
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the cauliflower and cut into fine florets, removing the thick stems. Heat butter in a pan and add the mustard seeds. After a short time, they will pop around in the pan like popcorn. After about 2 minutes, add the turmeric and sauté in the butter. Add the cauliflower florets and toss vigorously. Sauté for about 2 minutes, then season with paprika, cumin, fenugreek, and other spices if desired. Then add a small cup of water and simmer everything for about 8 minutes until the water has evaporated. Finally, season with salt and pepper. This is my favorite exotic cauliflower.
