Chicory vegetables in spicy sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 small chicory
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • herbal salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Clean the chicory, halve it lengthwise, and remove the stems. Boil it in salted water for 5 minutes, then drain it in a colander. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté the onions in the butter until translucent, briefly saute the garlic, then add the tomato paste and stir everything together with a little hot water until smooth. Season generously with herb salt and pepper and stir in the cream cheese. Season again to taste and add the chicory to the sauce. The sauce is also great for baking in the oven and/or for broccoli, potatoes, kohlrabi, etc. Enjoy!
