Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 g broccoli, in florets
- 150 g cooked ham, cut into cubes
- 1 vegetable onion(s), coarsely chopped
- 750 ml milk
- 50 g butter
- 50 g flour
- ½ tsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp curry, preferably Madras
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Blanch the broccoli until al dente, brown the onions, and briefly toss the ham. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour, and sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the milk, curry powder, and chili powder, and season with salt. Bring the milk to a boil and simmer over low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring with a whisk. Then spread all the ingredients in a baking dish, pour on the curry béchamel, and season with pepper. Bake in the oven at 220°C until a brown crust forms on top.
