the French love bone in a savory variation

Toast the hot dog buns until crisp. You can also prepare them in the oven. To make room for the filling, hollow out the bun. An apple corer, a thin knife, or even your index finger are suitable for this. Fill this hollow with the creamed horseradish. You can decorate the opening with a horseradish flower if you like. Then generously spread the tops of the buns with the glaze. For the glaze, prepare a satay sauce. Melt the peanut butter in a small saucepan over low heat and then slowly stir in the milk. Do not boil! For the right consistency, add a dash of oyster sauce. This gives the glaze a dark, chocolatey color. Season to taste with sambal oelek. We like to bring these éclairs to buffets, because not everyone is into all the sweet stuff. Decorated with a few ham roses, the whole thing quickly becomes an eye-catcher and the secret star of the long table.
