Pasta and minced meat casserole with mushrooms and spring onions

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat
  • 500g penne
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 400g Gouda
  • 200 g gratin cheese
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • Tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Grate the cheese, finely chop the garlic, and chop the spring onions and mushrooms into bite-sized pieces. While the pasta is cooking, brown the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Mix the cream with the gratin cheese and garlic. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and tomato paste. Now add the al dente pasta and all the other ingredients, except for the grated Gouda, to a large casserole dish and mix well. Finally, cover the casserole with the Gouda. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
