Pork strips with boil-in-the-bag dumplings à la Didi

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g pork steak(s)
  • 1 class can/n mushrooms, 280 g drained weight
  • 3 tsp spice mix for roast meat
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 tsp beef bouillon, instant
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 4 potato dumplings half/half
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Cut the pork steaks into small cubes or strips. Heat a pot with 1 tablespoon of oil and sear the steak cubes until well browned. Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of oil. Drain the mushrooms, reserving the broth, and sear the mushrooms in the oil. Add the fried mushrooms and broth to the steak cubes. Sprinkle the meat seasoning over the mushrooms. Dice the onion and sauté in the pan. Then add to the meat and mushrooms. Mix the cream with the beef broth and add to the strips. Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently. Meanwhile, cook the dumplings according to the instructions. Serve the strips with the dumplings.
