Turkey schnitzel in tomato sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • oil
  • 1 can/n tomatoes, peeled, 400 g weight
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme, dried
  • 2 turkey schnitzels, 150 g each, thinly sliced
  • 150 g mozzarella (buffalo mozzarella)
  • Basil leaves, for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Sauté in oil until translucent. Add the tomatoes and their liquid. Add the bay leaf, salt, pepper, and thyme. Simmer uncovered until thickened. Fry the turkey cutlets for about two minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper. Place the turkey cutlets in the tomato sauce. Arrange the sliced ​​mozzarella on top. Cover the pan and melt the cheese over low heat for about five minutes. Sprinkle with basil leaves and serve. Baguette is delicious with it.
