Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 chicken breast fillets, each approx. 150 g, skinned
- 250g mozzarella
- 400 g tomatoes, medium-sized
- 3 tbsp oil for frying
- Salt
- pepper
- some basil for garnishing
Instructions

Rinse the chicken breast fillets under cold running water. Pat dry, season with salt and pepper, and fry in hot oil in an ovenproof pan for about 10 minutes on each side. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stem ends, and then slice them. Cut the mozzarella into not-too-thick slices. Layer the meat alternately in the pan and grill in the oven for 5-10 minutes. Garnish with basil leaves before serving. Tip: This dish goes well with buttered rice or garlic toast.
