Asian banana soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 5 m.-large banana(s), ripe, also already brown
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 jar tomato peppers
  • 2 tbsp curry powder, Madras
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Brown the ground beef in 1 tablespoon of oil, season with salt and pepper, and remove from the pot. Drain the peppers, reserving the liquid. Dice the onions and sauté in 1 tablespoon of oil until translucent. Add the drained tomato and pepper and sauté gently. Add the liquid from the tomato and pepper and bring to a boil. Slice the bananas and add them as well. Add all the remaining ingredients to the pot, bring to a boil, and simmer until the bananas begin to break down. This takes about 15-20 minutes. A party-tested soup!
