Classic cucumber salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 m.-sized cucumber(s)
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 4 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 4 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp table vinegar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp dill tips, dried or fresh
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • n. B. sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Thinly slice the cucumber, with or without the peel, toss with 1 teaspoon of salt, and let stand for 30 minutes. Then rinse the cucumber with cold water and squeeze out some of the excess liquid. Peel the onion, slice it into half rings, and toss with the cucumber. Make a dressing with vinegar, yogurt, crème fraîche, mustard, and dill, season with salt and pepper. Pour the dressing over the cucumber and fold in. If you like your cucumber salad a little sweeter, add a little sugar to the dressing.
