Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 g bell pepper(s), cut into strips
- 250 g onion(s), diced
- 500 g sausage (Bauernknacker)
- 50 ml olive oil
- 1 garlic clove(s), crushed
- ½ tbsp cayenne pepper
- 3 tbsp mixed herbs
- 150 g tomato paste
- 1 liter vegetable broth
- Salt
- Pepper, white, from the mill
- Sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Brown the sausages in olive oil. Add the onions and garlic and cook until translucent. Then add the bell pepper strips, cayenne pepper, and tomato paste and stir until smooth. Add the broth and simmer gently for 10 minutes. Finally, season generously with salt, white pepper, and sugar and serve sprinkled with the herbs.
