Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 bread(s) (Turkish flatbread with sesame)
- some lettuce leaves
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 onion(s)
- 500 g minced beef
- 1 shallot(s), finely chopped
- 80 g bread rolls, from the previous day
- 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tsp paprika powder, mild
- some milk
- salt and pepper
- Oil, for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Slice the tomatoes and onion into thin rings. Cut the bread roll into cubes and soak in a little milk. Mix the minced meat with the soaked bread roll, shallot, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and press the meat mixture into the pan like a hash brown. Fry for about 6 minutes on each side. Place a flat lid or a sufficiently large plate on top to turn it over, turn the pan over, and let the hamburger slide back into the pan. Cut the flatbread in half horizontally and bake briefly in the oven at about 150 degrees Celsius until crispy. Then top one half with lettuce leaves, tomatoes, and onion slices. Place the fried giant hamburger on top, followed by the other half. Cut the giant hamburger into slices like a cake and serve. TIP: The giant hamburger also works well at a buffet; it tastes great lukewarm or cold!
