Lukewarm salad with caramelized honey-mustard chicken strips

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 400 g chicken fillet(s)
  • 2 romaine lettuce hearts
  • 4 vine tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 1 avocado(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Combine honey, mustard, oil, garlic cloves, salt, and pepper. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and let it marinate in half of the marinade for at least 30 minutes. Pan-fry the chicken with the remaining marinade until caramelized. Wash the lettuce and tomatoes, peel the onion and avocado, chop everything, and mix. Add 3 tablespoons of water to the remaining marinade and mix with the salad. Add the chicken directly from the pan to the salad and mix everything together.
