Maultaschen pan in mushroom cream sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g Maultasche(s)
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 200 g mushrooms, brown
  • 4 m.-sized tomatoes
  • 250 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the Maultaschen, onions, and mushrooms into strips, and the tomatoes into small pieces. Fry the Maultaschen and onions in olive oil until golden brown. Then add the mushrooms and fry for 2-3 minutes. Deglaze with the cream. Add the tomato pieces. Let everything simmer for about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Note: 400g is four Maultaschen for me. Since they vary in size, I’ve set them in grams. I buy my Maultaschen at the market and like to mix spinach Maultaschen with meat-filled Maultaschen. It gives a very delicious flavor.
