Hearty spaetzle pan

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g Spätzle, from the refrigerated section or homemade
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 250 g diced ham
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 3 spring onions
  • 100 g Gruyère
  • some butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Fry the ham cubes in a roasting pan or frying pan. Add the diced onion and fry briefly. Finely chop the vegetables and mushrooms, except for the spring onions, and fry for at least 5 minutes. Season everything with salt and pepper. Remove the mixture from the pan and keep warm. Grate the cheese. Heat the pan with a little butter and toss the spaetzle in it. Add the vegetable and ham mixture and fold in. Season again with salt and pepper and season to taste. Add the grated Le Gruyère and mix everything well. To serve, transfer to a large pasta bowl and serve with the spring onion pieces and fresh parsley.
