Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g cooked ham or smoked meat, in not too thin slices
- 200 ml white wine (Riesling, dry)
- 100 ml wine vinegar or light balsamic vinegar
- 100 ml water
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp juniper berries
- 1 tsp peppercorns, pink
- ½ tsp black peppercorns
- 1 onion(s), cut into fine rings
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 10 minutes
a rustic buffet idea or a refreshing dinner
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and add the ham slices. Marinate for at least 24 hours. Delicious with hearty farmhouse bread or fried potatoes.
