Curd dumplings on a strawberry mirror

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g quark / curd cheese (low-fat)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp semolina
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pack of frozen strawberries

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Combine the curd cheese, egg, oil, flour, breadcrumbs, semolina, and vanilla sugar. Let stand for an hour, then scoop out dumplings with a spoon and let them stand in boiling salted water until they float to the top. In the meantime, melt the butter, toast the breadcrumbs, and sprinkle with sugar. Roll the dumplings in the butter. Thaw the strawberries and blend them in a food processor until a sauce forms. Arrange the dumplings on top of the sauce and sprinkle with the remaining buttercrumbs and sugar mixture.
