One Pot Pasta with Broccoli in Cream Cheese Sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 carrots
  • 750 g broccoli
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 300 g pasta
  • 2 tbsp vegetable broth, instant
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • ½ bunch chives
  • 150 g herb cream cheese (Bresso)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the carrots, halve lengthwise, and slice. Divide the broccoli into florets, peel the stalks, and slice. Peel and dice the onion. Heat the oil in a pan and briefly sauté the carrots and onion. Add the pasta and 1 liter of hot water, bring to a boil, and stir in the stock. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer everything for about 12 minutes. After about 5 minutes, add the broccoli. Meanwhile, cut the ham into strips and the chives into rolls. Stir the cream cheese into the pasta and bring to a boil. Mix the cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of cold water until smooth, stir into the sauce, and simmer for about 1 minute. Stir the ham and chives into the pasta. Season to taste and serve.
