Pasta with tomato sauce and meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 300 g minced meat
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • some cream substitute
  • vegetable fat
  • 1 pack of herbal mixture, e.g. 8-herbs, frozen
  • 1 pinch(s) sugar
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed, approx. 500 ml
  • 500 g pasta
  • salt and pepper
  • some ketchup

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Dice the onion and knead it well with the minced meat, salt, pepper, mustard, breadcrumbs, and milk. Form the minced meat mixture into small dumplings. When all the meatballs are ready, fry them in a deep pan for about 5 minutes, turning frequently. Deglaze with water and passata, and stir in the cream substitute and ketchup. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Season the sauce with sugar, salt, and pepper. Reduce the heat and simmer the meatballs in the sauce until the pasta is cooked.
