Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 large dumplings from the day before
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp, heaped mustard
  • 1 tbsp, stalked dill, dried or fresh
  • some Maggi
  • salt and pepper
  • some fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Frying time: approximately 10 minutes. Cut the dumplings into slices. Whisk the eggs and season with pepper, salt, Maggi, mustard, and dill. Roll the dumplings in the breadcrumbs and coat them in the breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs firmly into the pan until no wet spots are visible; this makes frying easier. Heat the fat in a non-stick pan and fry the dumplings until golden brown on both sides. This dish is perfect as a side dish or main course with salad; it’s also delicious hot or cold with a dip.
