Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg turkey meat
  • 400 g tomatoes, chopped
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 onions
  • 6 tsp curry powder, mild
  • 1 tsp curry powder, hot
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 200 ml chicken broth
  • some oil or clarified butter for frying
  • some flour
  • possibly vegetable broth or milk or coconut milk
  • possibly clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Dice the onion, garlic, and turkey meat. Sauté the onions and garlic in oil or clarified butter. It’s best to use a large, deep pan or pot directly. Add the turkey cubes and fry until lightly browned, but not completely cooked. Add the mild curry powder and stir. Add the tomatoes and chicken stock. Then simmer until the desired consistency is reached and the meat is cooked. If desired, mix a little flour with cold water separately until lump-free and thickened; this thickens the sauce very easily. I seasoned the dish at the end with a little vegetable stock, salt, pepper, and hot curry powder, and added a dash of whole milk. I also added a knob of clarified butter. Rice makes a great side dish. You can also cook it in vegetable stock instead of salted water.
