Greek bean and mince pan

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g green beans
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • 5 sprigs of thyme
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp oil, e.g. olive oil
  • 400 g minced beef
  • 1 can of tomatoes, 850 ml
  • 75 g olives, black
  • 100 g feta cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Trim, wash, and halve the beans, then cook in boiling salted water for 12-15 minutes. Wash the thyme and roughly chop the leaves. Peel and finely dice the onions. Heat oil in a large pan. Fry the minced meat for 4-5 minutes until crumbly. Briefly fry the onions. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add the tomatoes, including their juice, and the thyme. Bring everything to a boil and simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes. Roughly chop the tomatoes with a spatula occasionally. Add the beans and olives to the minced meat and heat briefly. Crumble the feta over the top.
