Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 80 g bacon, cut into fine cubes
- 1 half onion(s) , (40 g)
- 150 g white bread or dumpling bread
- 20 g butter (1 tbsp)
- 40 g flour (2 tbsp)
- 100 ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp parsley or chives, chopped
- Salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cut the white bread into small cubes. Sauté the finely diced onion in the melted butter, pour it over the bread, and mix. Stir in the flour and bacon. Combine the eggs, parsley, milk, and salt, pour the mixture over the bread mixture, and mix well. Let it stand for about 15 minutes. Form dumplings and simmer in salted water, partially covered, or steam them. Cooking time: approximately 15-20 minutes.
