Ham dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 rolls
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • Pepper (2 turns of pepper mill)
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • ½ tsp seasoning
  • 4 cl brandy
  • 350 g ham, finely chopped cooked
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs / flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the rolls into slices, sprinkle with salt, and place in a mixing bowl. Pour hot milk over them and let them simmer. Finely chop the onions and fry in the butter. Add them to the rolls along with the eggs, parsley, spices, and brandy; mix well until a smooth dough forms. Fold in the ham and form into dumplings, adding breadcrumbs or flour. Let them simmer in hot water for 15 minutes. Serve with sauerkraut mixed with pineapple pieces or tomato sauce.
