Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g roll(s) or white bread
  • 125 g bacon (lean bacon) or ham
  • 125 g sausage (cooked sausage), smoked
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • Paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp chives, chopped

Dice the bread rolls, bacon, and sausage and place them in a large bowl. Add the eggs, milk, and spices and let the mixture rest for half an hour. Peel and dice the onion. Add it to the dough along with the herbs, oil, and flour. Knead thoroughly and let rest in the refrigerator for at least three hours. Then form into dumplings and cook them in hot, salted water until tender (do not boil). Tip: The dumplings also taste great sliced ​​and fried on both sides in butter.
