Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 1 kg bread roll(s), diced
- 1 handful of parsley
- 6 small onions or 3 large ones, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp pepper
- 6 eggs
- some milk
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Empty the bread cubes into a bowl, stir in the parsley, salt, and pepper. Sauté the onions and fold in. Let cool slightly. Then add the eggs and knead everything well. Let rest for 10 minutes. Finally, add just enough milk so that the mixture is easy to shape and doesn’t become mushy. Then form dumplings and let them simmer in plenty of lightly boiling salted water for about 15 minutes. The raw, formed dumplings can also be frozen for storage. This yields 20 to 30 dumplings, depending on the size.
