Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 750 g green beans, possibly frozen
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 can of pizza tomatoes, 400 g
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Cut the green beans into pieces about 2-3 cm in size. If using frozen beans, this can be done quickly by hand. Peel and finely dice the onion. In a large pot, fry the diced onion in olive oil until translucent, then add the sliced green beans. Heat over high heat for a good 5 minutes, stirring constantly, then season with 2-3 teaspoons of salt and cook at low heat for about 45 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure nothing sticks to the bottom of the pot. When the beans are tender, add the tomatoes, mix everything well, and season to taste to see if it can tolerate a little more salt. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. This dish is originally served with Arabic flatbread.
