Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 12 large potatoes, floury
- 50 g butter
- 100 g cheese (Emmental), in thin slices
- 200 g herb butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours
Wash and peel the potatoes, and score them fan-shaped. To do this, place them on a tablespoon and use a sharp kitchen knife to cut down to the edge of the spoon. This prevents the potato from accidentally being cut all the way through. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and brush 6 of the potatoes with it. Fan the potatoes out slightly and place pieces of cheese in the spaces between them. Fill the other 6 potatoes with half of the herb butter in the same way. Place all the potatoes on a baking tray and bake in the oven on the middle rack at 200°C for about 1 hour. To serve, place 1 cheese-coated potato and 1 herb-coated potato on each plate and garnish with the remaining herb butter. Serve with a mixed salad or warm roast beef.
