Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 500 g grapes
  • 150 g sugar
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 large egg(s)
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 1 tsp wheat starch

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

First, mash the grapes in a bowl (careful: it may splash!) and squeeze the lemon juice. Then, place the grapes in a saucepan with the sugar, water, and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Separately, crack the egg and add the cornstarch. Next, add the egg and cornstarch mixture to the pan and simmer over low heat for about 2-3 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Serve garnished with some grapes.
