Hawaiian-style meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g minced meat, mixed
  • 4 slice(s) ham, cooked
  • 2 slices of pineapple
  • 65 g cheese, grated
  • some pineapple juice
  • Salt or instant broth
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Ginger powder
  • 2 bags of rice
  • 1 small bottle(s) of sweet and sour sauce (e.g. from Kühne)

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely chop the cooked ham and pineapple. Mix with the grated cheese and ground beef. Season to taste with salt (or broth), cayenne pepper, ginger powder, and a little pineapple juice. Form into about 12 meatballs and fry in batches. Cook the rice and then toss it with the sweet and sour sauce. A little tip: If you like, you can also stir in some pineapple chunks. Arrange everything on plates and serve. Tip: The meatballs also taste delicious topped with cheese.
