Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 12 stalk(s) asparagus, green
- 20 shrimp(s), ready to cook
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 4 tbsp rum, white, or cachaça
- 1 lime(s), juice
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- ½ bunch chives
- salt and pepper
- e.g. chili
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Remove the woody ends from the asparagus and cut it into diagonal pieces. Squeeze the lime. Sauté the shrimp in olive oil, add the asparagus, and cook for a few minutes. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the asparagus and let it caramelize briefly. Deglaze with lime juice and rum. Chop the chives and mix in. Season with salt and pepper. If you like spicy food, you can also add some chili. It goes very well with this dish.
