Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 schnitzels (butterfly schnitzel, lobster piece)
- 2 slices of Edam cheese
- 2 slices of cooked ham
- salt and pepper
- curry
- 1 egg(s)
- Breadcrumbs
- 2 bananas
- Fat for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
Flatten the butterfly schnitzels on both sides with a meat tenderizer and season with salt and pepper. Then place the cooked ham and slice of Edam cheese on the inside of the schnitzels. Sprinkle the curry powder over the cheese. Next, place the banana on top of the cheese, fold the schnitzel closed, and secure it with a roulade pin. Now, bread the schnitzels. This can be done with ready-made breading, although I prefer my own creation of breadcrumbs (dry rolls crushed in the Thermomix) seasoned with a teaspoon of granulated stock. Fry the schnitzels over moderate heat (level 4 of 10) for 45 minutes (or less time if necessary, depending on the stove and pan). Turn them several times.
