Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 8 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 300 g mixed berries, frozen, e.g. raspberries, blackberries, blueberries
  • 100 ml maple syrup
  • 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp, heaped smoked salt, Danish

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Paleo, grain-free

Dice the onions and finely chop the garlic. Sauté both in olive oil over moderate heat. Add all the other ingredients and simmer for about 30 minutes over low heat. Stir frequently. Once the sauce has thickened, puree it with a hand blender until smooth and pour it hot into screw-top jars or small bottles. The BBQ sauce will keep in the refrigerator for about 4 weeks. I always keep one in the fridge and freeze the leftovers.
