Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 bulb(s) garlic
- 1 chili pepper(s), dried or fresh
- 1 stock cube
- some water
- 100 g tomato paste
- 75 g curry ketchup
- 25 g mustard, medium hot or hotter
- 75 g honey
- ½ tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 100 ml oil to taste
- n. B. herbs, e.g. rosemary, thyme, …
- e.g. salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
with garlic and chili – quick and sophisticated
Peel the garlic and roughly chop it with the chili pepper. Simmer in a pot with a little water until the garlic is soft. Add a little more water if necessary. Then puree with a hand blender and a little oil, if desired. In the meantime, mix together the remaining ingredients. Then fold in the garlic and chili mixture and season with salt, pepper, and herbs. The sauce will keep in a screw-top jar in the refrigerator for many weeks and is a wonderful dip or marinade, and tastes great with grilled food. Makes about 400 ml of sauce, approximately 5 servings.
