Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g apples
- 500 g orange(s)
- 250 g shallot(s)
- 30 g ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 250 g cane sugar
- 250 ml white wine
- 1 lemon(s) (organic)
- 1 lime(s) (organic)
- 1 vanilla pod(s) (Bourbon vanilla)
- 1 tsp. clove powder
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
- ½ bunch mint
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Peel the fruit and slice into thin strips. Finely slice the shallots, ginger, and garlic and sauté with the fruit in a small saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients. Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring constantly with a spoon, until a jam-like consistency is reached. Pour the finished chutney into prepared jars and seal.
